Many of the 173 UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) members around the world face severe challenges due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). These challenges include a record number of children and youth who are not in school or university because of temporary or indefinite closures mandated by governments in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus.
In order to exchange solutions, discuss contingency plans and share distance-learning approaches, members of the UNESCO GNLC will convene two webinars organized by the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL), to be held on Thursday, 19 March and Tuesday, 24 March 2020. Non-member cities are also invited to join the online events, share their experiences and learn from other cities.

Molti dei 173 membri della Rete globale delle città della Conoscenza (GNLC) dell’UNESCO in tutto il mondo affrontano gravi sfide a causa del coronavirus (COVID-19). Al fine di scambiare soluzioni, discutere piani di emergenza e condividere approcci di apprendimento a distanza, i membri del GNLC UNESCO riuniranno due webinar organizzati dall’Istituto UNESCO per l’apprendimento permanente (UIL), che si terranno giovedì 19 marzo e martedì 24 marzo 2020. Le città non membri sono anche invitate a partecipare agli eventi online, condividere le loro esperienze e imparare da altre città.
