From the 1st to the 10th of October 2020 Sydney International Convention Centre  will host the 20th General Assembly and Scientific Symposium  of ICOMOS. 

ICOMOS General Assembly and Scientific Symposium will involve more than 1.500 professionals from across the globe representing heritage, archaeology, historians, urban planning, architects and academia just to name a few, providing unrivalled access to high-calibre specialist knowledge and delivering a boost to‘grass roots’ interest in cultural heritage and conservation work throughout Australia and globally.

Aligning with the GA2020 Theme of “Shared Cultures – Shared Heritage – Shared Responsibility”, sponsors will be an integral part of the legacy to the management of cultural heritage and the communities that value and care for it in Australia and globally.

The International Council for Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), a non-governmental organization, is an advisory body to the World Heritage Convention. It is comprised of professionals, experts, representatives from local authorities, companies and heritage organisations, and is dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of the architectural and landscape heritage in France and throughout the world. ICOMOS France is the French national committee of ICOMOS.
